Haymaking Festival at Hambrook Marshes
Saturday 14th July will see the fourth Haymaking Festival at Hambrook Marshes, a peaceful wildlife meadow close to the heart of Canterbury. This year’s festival is bigger than ever and features a special celebrity guest appearance by Kaddy Lee-Preston, live music, beer tents, local foods, exhibitions, performances, shows and much much more. As always the festival will show-case a range of activities for all ages to watch or join in with including heavy horses cutting the hay, drama performances from Applause Outdoors and Accidental Collective, children’s activities, Raptor displays, learning survival skills, trying first aid skills, scything & woodcrafts, art groups, workshops and plenty more. Stalls include CAMRA real ale, cider and wine, tea and coffee tents, Godmersham game bbq and a variety of local Kent food stalls. No need for tickets! The Haymaking Festival is a FREE day out for the whole family! Any proceeds will help pay for Kent Enterprise Trust to support people into training and employment that are unemployed or have learning difficulties, and to help keep Hambrook Marshes the fantastic public amenity and wildlife site that it has become over the last 3 years. Free parking at Wincheap park
